Hello Reeta and welcome to HCM, I am Dr Madhuri a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist and will be helping you with your queries. Knowledge about your menstrual status would be a great help in recommending a treatment plan. Nevertheless an endometrium of 14.3 is thick. So a D and C or hysteroscopy is needed to obtain a biopsy and then check if the endometrium is alright under a microscope. The commonest cause of thick endometrium is endometrial hyperplasia or excessive over growth of the endometrium. Rare cause is endometrial cancer. Both of these can be diagnosed by a biopsy. So get it done to have a proper diagnosis and then further management can be planned accordingly.
Hope this satisfies your query. Thanks for using HCM. Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have. Dr Madhuri Bagde Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist
