My recent urinalysis test disclosed the following: Color - Dark Yellow Turbidity - Sl. Turbid Specific Gravity - 1.025 Reaction - Acidic RBC - 0-2 WBC - 1-3 Epithelial Cell - Few Amorphous Urates/Phosphates - Few Mucus Thread - Moderate What does these findings indicate? Thank you.
Findings may suggests urinary tract infection(UTI). UTI is indicated by slightly turbid appearance of urine and presence of few RBC and WBC in urine. Epithelial cells and mucus threads are normally found in urine. Few amorphous urates and phosphates are normal
You need clinical correlation and investigations like routine hemogram, renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen. Leukocyte esterase test and nitrite test can be done for confirmation of UTI.
Proper antibiotics should be prescribed after culture and sensitivity report. You should drink plenty of water.
HI Well come to HCM This is some what normal one still this need to be correlated with the clinical condition, you have not mentioned any symptoms for that you did this test, clinical information is very important, some time such finding may be due to urinary tract infection, some time this could be seen in in normal subject, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
