Hello Doctor, Happy New Year 2016 ! and Good Day. My wife was having urine infection and she has underwent urine test. And the intention of making urine test is to see puss cells count. the result shows puss cells count is 3-5/hpf. So is that normal? anything to worry? Thank You very much in advance. -Vivek, Bangalore

Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
IT is indicating towards UTI.

I usually in my clinic, treat patients of UTI with Norflox 400 mg twice daily for 3 days.

Presently I would suggest you to drink plenty of water, which will to wash off the microbes from urinary tract and also to drink cranberry juice which is found to be beneficial in UTI. Keep the valval area clean wash it with cool water and mild soap like dermadew, and then tap it dry with towel.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.
