What Does The Urine Test During Pregnancy Indicate?
Hi,
I just had my lab test last Saturday and the result is Pus cells High 15, epithelial cells - U - High 15. don't feel any pain when i pass my urine. I want to know if this is normal during pregnancy or should I take medicines for these?
Hello, I appreciate your concern for your pregnancy and i would like to tell you that some sort of pus cells or epithelial cells in urine are normal, but high 15 pus cells and epithelial cells suggest some sort of urinary infection. I would like to suggest you to take intravaginal tablets to prevent spread of infection to the growing fetus, if it is associated with some sort of vaginal discharge also. Pain while urination will not always be there in urinary infection. Also want to tell you that always use loose underpants and keep your private parts clean with soap and water every time you go to toilet. Always keep your parts dry and drink plenty of water. Also avoid sexual intercourse. so if after taking all such precautions, pus cells continues to be present in urine, then you will need to take antibiotics to get rid off. But i am sure that pus cells will disappear soon once you take such precautions and repeat urine examination after one week. Hope this will help you. Best luck and best wishes for your pregnancy.
