i have high blood pressure and iam on lisnopril 20mg once a day , and my blood pressure has been doing real good, but i noticed today after taking my blood pressure its been high today like 155/89 pulse was 78 i have been around a few people that has been sick, could this be the reason its been high today right now my blood pressure is 148/86 and my pulse is 72, should i contact my doctor?
hello, Have low salt diet and monitor blood pressure regularly thrice a day for one week then once or twice a week. If bp is persistently more than 140/90 mmhg, then you should be on medicines for it. You should be started on Tab Amlodipine 5 mg once a day. You should have Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according your capacity atleast 30 min a day and 5 days a week. Lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits, fish once or twice a week, avoid meat. Get your lipid profile and sugars tested once.. Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
