What Does This CEA Range While Having Colon Cancer Indicate?
When my father was treated for colon cancer eight years ago, the CEA was 8.5. After surgery, it dropped to 5.5 during the chemotherapy period, and then dropped below 3. In the last 1-2 years, it has fluctuated between 4-5 while recently it was 5.4.The CT scan showed no problem.Bladder in the liver may affect;
Raised CEA or with rising trend indicates recurrence of the tumor in same area or other part of the body.Consult your treating surgeon and also of course the Medical oncologist.thanks.
