Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
EKGs always result abnormal. I have 2 stents & another blockage not lRge enough to stent 40%. I m 61, F, 5 2, 135. I refuse future EKGs bc I ve never had a normal. Old medical records state abnormal EKG -anteroseptal infarct. What does this mean?
HI YOUR ELECTROCARDIOGRAM INDICATES ANTEROSEPTAL INFARCT.THIS MEANS THAT YOU HAD A HEART ATTACK PREVIOUSLY IN THE FRONT PARR OF HEART MUSCLE.AS YOU HAVE ALREADY UNDERGONE ANGIOPLASTY WITH 2 STENTS I WILL SUGGEST THAT YOU SHOULD BE ON DRUGS LIKE ASPIRIN ,STATIN GROUP OF TABLETS AND ANTIANGINALS LIFELONG FOLLOW UP WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN REGULARLY . WISH YOU GOOD HEALTH!! THANKS DR PRANAY BUDKULE
