Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently had an mri done on my shoulder, my dr said there were multiple dark spots in the bone and when he looked back at an mri done in april on my back the same dark spots are visible in that mri as well. He is ordering further tests as he has no idea what this could be. What is this typical of?
Hello, I have studied your case and I think you should mention complete MRI report to me. Dark spots in the bone are usually not seen and they can be due to infection or any fluid in the bone. Some time they are normal also. So if there is no symptoms than nothing needs to done. You can wait and watch. As your doctor is saying that you have same spots few months back also and nothing happened to you. Please send me your MRI report. I will try my best to help you. Thanks
