I have undergone a NCCT test of thorax from Apex to base of lungs without IV concontrast. result NCCT findings as follows
- Fibroatelectatic lesions in poserobesal segment of right lower lobe, lingular segment of the left upper lobe, medial and lateral basal segment of right middle lobe and anterior segment of lefet lower lobe---- infective etiology. Pl. revert what does this mean
Your NCCT(non contrast CT)findings of thorax may suggests multi focal fibro-atelectatic lesions in both lungs. It means presence of fibrosis with atelectatic areas.Atelectatic areas are part of lung parenchyma that contains no air.It may be due to infection, retained secretions etc. Small atelectatic areas may reverse with treatment of underlying cause. It may become normal with drainage of secretions and infection.
