What Does This Abdominal CT-scan Test Result For Stomach Pain And Loose Stools Indicate?

i have been in the hospital for 2 days with severe stomach pain that was relieved by pain killers and now I m home with a soft diet and still have the pain but comes and goes. I was told that the C-scan showed possible scar tissue or adhesions on the small bowel from surgery for a ruptured appendix in Oct. My stool is small and soft with a yellow color..what does this mean?I don t get to see a surgeon until the 9th of Jan.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of admission in hospital for 2 days with severe stomach pain relieved by painkillers and now at home, on soft diet, but the pain still comes and goes. CT scan shows possible scar tissue or adhesions on small bowel for surgery of ruptured appendix in Oct, stool is yellow, soft and small.
Since you were operated for perforated appendix, there are always chances of adhesion formation as a sequel or complication.
These can cause sub-acute intestinal obstruction causing spasmodic pains.
I would advise you the following:
Go for Enteroclysis to know whether there is intestinal obstruction.
If present and if soft diet does not help to stop pain you will need definitive surgery to relieve the obstructing cause and get well permanently.
