Chest X-ray report of a 55 years old lady says that There is prominence of right horizontal fissure. Right dome of diaphragm is raised. Right upper zone and left lung appear normal. Mi I.all linear fibrosis is seen on left side above the dome of diaphragm. Heart size appears normal. Both costophrenic angles are clear. Can you please explain the report in a very simple language? Is there anything to worry about ?? Please explain in a simple language without any complicated medical terms.
Thank you for your nice question! Regarding your concern I would explain with simple words that: chest X ray film demonstrate pulmonary problems probably chronic ones; you must consult a pulmonologist; because according to the patient complains he could recommend additional exam to clarify the situation. Doesn't seem to reflect any cardiac problem. Hope to have been helpful to you. Greetings from Dr. Iliri.
