What Does This Pelvic Ultrasound Test Result Indicate?
Hi this is my ultrasound report ..Uterus has normal size and shape. It demonstrates normal myometrial echogenicity. No myometrial mass is visualized the endometrium has normal thikness and contains no gestational sac.Right ovary is normal.Left ovary is not separately visualized. There is sac like erea in left adnexal region measuring 1.7 cm corresponding to gestational age 5 weeks in maximum dimension.tiny fetal pole like structure is also visualized .free fluid is also noted in pouch of doughlas. Possibilty of ectopic pregnancy cant be ruled out. Any solution plsss
Hello, Your scan report suggests that you most probably have an ectopic pregnancy which means your fetus instead of being within the uterine cavity is growing outside it in the adnexa . You can do an urine pregnancy test, of that also comes positive then it is definitely an ectopic pregnancy. Since there is fluid also in the pouch of Douglas, it probably has ruptured. I suggest that you go visit a doctor at the earliest without any delay. Regards, Dr Raksha
