What Does This Pelvis Report Indicate?
Pelvis report after MEdical abortion - If RPOC seen in the lower corpus and upper cervical region measuring 2.2 * 0.7 * 1.6 cms vol 1.46cc , RPOC does not show any colour in Doppler . Right ovary has multiple small follicles typical of pco. Left ovary has multiple small follicles but typical of pco pattern lacking and has two developing follicles . Doctor suggested to me take 6 misoprostol tab more now . Please reply whts my reports says n it will work . Is not there any complications .

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options
First of all do not panic.
Your USG report suggests that there are some retained products of conception.
This can happen after medical termination of pregnancy with pills. It's not uncommon thing.
Fortunately, the process of termination of pregnancy is almost over and only few non living products or part of pregnancy is seen on USG. Also, it appears to be near the cervical opening.
Your treating doctor has rightly suggested to take tablets Misoprostol to help out expulsion of the remnants.
I usually suggest to my patient to take 600 to 800 mcg dose, that is 3 to 4 tablets orally or sublingual . This helps in most of the cases.
In case of any doubt, please repeat USG after 1 week to confirm complete expulsion of the products of conception.
