What Does This Total Bilirubin Level Indicate While On Vyvanse Indicate?

My 17 year old son recently had a well check with his pediatrician. All lab results from blood work were normal EXCEPT his total bilirubin level which was 1.4. The Md is concerned and has ordered a specific bilirubin blood test...... My son is very active, plays football for his high school and lifts weights regularly.... He is otherwise healthy and rarely gets sick with nothing more than a cold every now and then.. The only medication he takes is vyvanse for A.D.D. but he only takes it when he needs to study for an exam.... Not understanding how there could be a problem with his liver giving his health status.

Hi
First it's not that high second it can be due to some genetic reason like Gilbert syndrome.Your doctor has to compare Liver function test and scan.
