What Does This Urinalysis Report Indicate?

Our 14 month old granddaughter has been ill with a fever on and off since mid January. She was urine tested 2 days ago. The results stated: She has a UTI due to pseudonymous and e.Coli. Tonight, she has a rash on Both legs. Today her daddy picked up Cephalixin to medicate this problem. We believe she needs to go to Children s hospital now. The med-stop told her dad to call their physician and schedule an ultrasound to check the valve from uretra. Any thoughts?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your granddaughter had urinary tract infection and rather than using a general antibiotic, give the urine for antibiotic sensitivity and then only use antibiotic accordingly. Initially, the baby should be consulted by a pediatrician. Don't use irrational antibiotic prescription.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Siddartha
