Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my baby is 8+ month old, frequently passing urine . the urine analysis shows that there is pus cells 2-3/HPF and epithelial cells 1-2/HPF and the traces of albumin in the urine . is there any problem? my peadiatrician said there is no problem & did not give any medicine. But still now I am confused.. Is there any need of medicine?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Neither the 2-3 pus cells nor the trace albumin are significant. Both are very low values. It is normal for there to be epithelial cells in a urine sample. These results do not indicate a urinary tract infection. No medication is indicated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
