What Does This X-ray For Ankle Indicate?

I twisted my ankle and went for an xray. The results indicate multiple well-corticated ossific density seen inferior to the medial malleolus. New avulsion fracture cannot be completely excluded. The largest measures 4 mm. There is also a tiny ossific density seen projecting inferior to the lateral malleolus measuring 2 mm. This could also be related to chronic changes, however, tiny avulsion fracture is also in the differential. Tiny bone fragments seen inferior to the medial and lateral malleoli as described. Ankle joint effusion. Subtle apparent prominence seen of the Achilles tendon at its insertion to the calcaneus. This raises the possibility of retrocalcaneal bursitis. It was recommended that I return for a follow up xray within 10-14 days. Any suggestions for how to care for the ankle in the meantime? Should I see a doctor before the second xray?

You must follow doctors instructions given. In meantime take complete rest in bed and keep your foot elevated under cushions. do gentle exercise of toes alone without disturbing ankle joint by avoiding all movements like standing or walking.Hot fomentation daily shoud be done and take anti-inflammatory analgesics if already prescribed.
xray shows some past and present disturbances which may be confirmed by 2nd xray and MRI,if needed and specific treatment instituted.Keep your leg immobilized as much possible.
