Hi, My name is Ruby Alvis. I am 24 years old. I performed a thyroid test which states the below results:T3 116 (ref range 60-200)T4 8.4 (ref range 4.5-12.0) TSH 4.66 (ref range 0.30-5.5)Could you please advise me what does the report indicate.Many thanks,Ruby
Hi, Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
No need to worry. Your thyroid function is normal. T3 and T4 are thyroid hormones and TSH is the thyroid stimulating hormone There is no need for treatment.
Only need for treatment in your case is if you are planning for pregnancy and you have a history of miscarriage in past. In pregnancy the TSH has to be below 2.5 miu/ml.
Additional tests that you may need is anti thyroid antibodies.
