What Does Urine Culture Test For Klebsiella Pneumoniae Suggest?
I have had re-ooccuring UTI's every 4 to 6wks consecutively over the last 15 months, and more spread out over the last several years. I am convinced that this is tied to strep group D, but I cannot get anyone to listen to me and test my culture for this. My most recent culture date 10/28/11 showed Klebsiella pneumoniae, which I believe can be mistaken for strep group D. Is this correct?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have repeated urinary tract infection. your culture report suggest infection by klebsiella. You should take antibiotics according to sensitivity test. Levofloxacin or cephalosporin can be useful according to sensitivity. You should also check for blood sugar test. Diabetes is the most common cause of repeated urinary tract infection. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
