Now is the question is of uterine contractions! Throughout the pregnancy, the uterus is continually contracting and relaxing. We call theses contractions as Braxton Hick's contractions. They are not strong enough to initiate the labour pains. At the peak of such contraction if you gently press the finger on the uterus, you will notice that the finger can indent into the uterine wall. When the contractions are strong enough to initiate the delivery, you cannot indent the figure like this. So please confirm yourself whether the uterine contractions are really that strong. They are usually associated with some amount of pain. If it is impending labour, it may show opening and/or shortening of the outlet of the uterus (cervix).
If they are strong enough to threaten the preterm delivery at 25 weeks only, you have to be on the bed. Please take bed rest. Your doctor might prescribe you some uterine relaxant tablets. May be you may have to be in the hospital for few days - till the painful contractions subside.
I am sure you got proper guidance.
