What Does White, Round, Painless Spot On Surface Of Tongue Indicate?

I have a small (approx pencil eraser sized) round white painless spot on the surface of my tongue. It has been there since July. Today I noticed another similar white spot on the side of my tongue. I am a non smoker. I quit 17 months ago. What could it be?

Hello, Welcome Thanks for consulting HCM,

I have gone through your query, as you have white spot on tongue , as you have quit your smoking habit also .

Dont worry it can be depapilation of papillae , oral thrush or whote lesion leukoplakia also.

I will suggest you to consult your dentist and go for oral examination .

You can take one capsule vitamin B complex once daily for one week

Do warm saline gargle two - three times a day

Do chlorhexidine mouthwash twice daily

Maintain proper oral hygiene use tongue cleaner.

Hope this will help you.
