hi, in your case, i would recommend insulin for two reasons. 1) you have a long term medical issue for which oral drugs are not ideal 2) your diabetic control is bad. your target levels are FBS <100 and PPBS < 140 which can be easily attained with insulin rather than high doses of oral drugs.
