What Happens If I Have Sex With Tampon Inside?

I have been bleeding since last Tues. and inserted a tampon last Sun. than had sex forgetting that the tampon was in me. Im still bleeding, the color is very bright red no clumps Ive searched for the tampon it doesnt seem to be there, Im worried about two things, one is it in there and I just cant find ? And why am I still bleeding?
