What Happens If Endometriotic Cyst Is Not Treated?

Hi I am diagonised with endometriotic cyst and my doctor advised me to take femilion tablets for three months. Actually i never had periods problem before that . regualar for 5 days. but after taking that pill now i get periods for more than 10 days. After three months she asked me to hv USG again . There is no change in my cyst. so she advised me to stop the pill. But bleeding is der for 10 days. My Questions are 1. If I leave the endometriotic cyst (17.6 * 4.8) untreated what will happen? 2. Will my periods get regular in sometime since i hav stopped taking Femilion?( i took it for three months(june,july,aug 2014) 3.Am unmarried . will it affect my marriage life if i get married after tw years?

hi healthcare magic user, since you are unmarried and will be getting married after 2yrs it is better to think for egg freezing as you may plan for baby 2-3year after marriage.
If I would have been your doctor I would have been advised you get colour Doppler done. Your sonography shows big size of endometrioma it should be evacuated and malsupilisation of cyst wall or removal of the cyst wall done in order to avoid recurrence and damage to the ovaries. Because as size of endometriosis more higher chances of damage to ovaries and which will reduce number eggs.
