Hi, i got itching sensation in my vagina and i consulted my family doctor, she prescribed me a few medicines.. cansoft, secnil forte, candid ointment and zentle. i wanted to understand the exact reason for the infection and also want to know that cansoft is to be taken orally or i need to insert it into my vagina.

The cansoft suppository is safe to use in the vagina, not orally. It will treat a vaginal yeast infection, and that is the most common cause of the itching that you describe. Vaginal yeast infections are very common. Yeast is found in the environment, and anything that causes yeast to grow can cause a vaginal infection. usually, it is easily treated and it shouldn't come back often.
