What Is 5th Disease?

My son had an illness in the mid 70 s called 5th disease or calsalki (sorry about the spelling) but I cannot find anything close to this on line. Now a friend has a 5 year old in the childrens hospital in KC with the same thing. Can you tell me if it is safe for my son to give blood? And where can I find more information on this disease? Thank you for your help. sorry no credit card

Hi,

The fifth disease also called erythema infectiosum is a viral condition. It has a benign course and may clear without any treatment.

It is safe for your son to give blood. And you may get immense knowledge regarding any disease on the internet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
