Tryptomer (amitriptiline) is a tricyclic antidepressant. it is primarily used to relieve
depression symptoms, insomnia, mood swings, anxiety and feelings of agitation. It may also be used to treat migraine headaches, nerve pain, bulimia, panic disorders and bedwetting in children.

Tryptomer is a amitryptiline. It is a tricyclic antidepressant which effective in anxiety related problems. Your doctor would have felt that your breathing difficulty was not due to an organic cause like asthma or heart disease. Breathing difficulty can occur with stress and anxiety and in this situation Tryptomer in a small dose of 10 mg is often found effective.
