What Is Abscess And Why Do They Occur?
My husband has had surgury on sept 2013 and we are still fighting, he just had his 3rd abcess on his stomach. We go to wound care 3 times a week and they pack the openings with silver gauze. We just found out that the last abcess has 5 bacteria s. I am trying to fins out about each one and I found u. If I list them could u explain them to me, in simple laymans terms?

Abscess are deep bacterial infections.
In simple terms bacteria infect our body and destroys tissue.
This destroyed tissue forms pus and a collection of pus anywhere in body is called as abscess.
Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
Abscess must be drained and pus should be subjected to tests to find out which bacteria is causing it and to which antibiotic the bacteria is sensitive.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
