What Is Causing Blisters In Esrd Patient On Dialysis?
I ve been caring for my 73 year old father with ERD who s undergoing dialysis for 12 years 2x a week. Last week I saw a small blister on the inner side of his lower left leg. After a few more days it became 4 circular fluid filled blister. The odorless fluid started seeping after few days and most fluid came out but with some clear thin skin sagging. But every time he lowers his legs like when he is sitting for a long time the sagged skin would start having fluid again. It usually bursts when he elevates it and the same thing happens when he lowers it again. This has scenario been recurring for 3 days now. I ve been putting antibiotic ointment on it for 6 days now and he has been taking 500mg antibiotic orally. The affected area is red now. What should I do?Please help!
