Hi,it is normal for mild
nasal bleeding for a week after surgery for nasal septal deflection as the
nasal septum has a rich source of blood supply.
After surgery ,you should avoid forcefully cleaning your nose/blowing nose/coughing forcefully which will cause increase in pressure in blood vessels and tiny blood vessels might tear in the nasal septum region and nasal bleeding might start. Also, you might suffer crusting in the nose after surgery.Dont try to remove the crusts as this can also cause bleeding. You should first soften the nasal crusts using Saline nasal drops.
Decongestant nasal drops will also help as they reduce the congestion in the nose.
As you suffered from
cold, you would be having swelling and congestion of the nasal lining ,which will cause difficulty in breathing.
You can take oral antihistaminic like
Cetrizine and nasal Decongestants.
After Nasal Septal Surgery, swelling occurs over the nasal lining, which takes time to reduce. So,you might suffer from breathing difficulty.
After around 6 weeks after surgery, you will notice the benefit of surgery like you will be able to breathe better from before surgery.
Hope this answers your question.Take care.
