My 10 year old daughter had 2 fillings with nitrous oxide and as the day went on she started feeling bad and sick bu the evening she had a high fever and vomiting. She had fever throughout the night and is still vomiting and has a head ache, diahera and still has fever. Is this normal should I take her to the hospital?
Your daughter symptoms could be related to a gastro-enteritis. Fever is not typical of nitrous oxide adverse effects. For this reason, I recommend taking her to the hospital for a physical exam and some tests: complete blood count, blood electrolytes, a stool analysis. I recommend giving her a lot of fluids in order to avoid dehydration.
