What Is Causing Heavy Period Type Cramps?

This morning I ve been having heavy period type cramps, I don t start my period for another 3-4 days. I ve never felt this much before. I also have to pee a lot more then usual and my vaginal area feels somewhat tingling. Could there be something wrong or is this normal before a period?

Hi,

This is quite common before periods and can be due to spasms and congestion prior to normal menstruation. You can take analgesics like mefenamic acid for symptomatic relief and drink plenty of water. If symptoms persist, you can consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
