Hello,
You are suffering from itching on
labia minora, it can be due to allergy and irritation due to exposure to irritants like feminine hygiene products, soap, lubricants, douches, perfumes, creams or even latex. Use gentle, unscented cleaning products on the genital area, you should thoroughly dry the genitals after bathing. Avoid the use of douches and other fragranced feminine products. Wear loose fitting soft cotton undergarments.
Change into dry clothing soon after swimming and exercising. Symptoms of vulvar itching (or
pruritus vulvae) include itching, stinging, or burning sensation. The vulva may appear swollen and red at times. You may apply ointment
hydrocortisone on the affected area to reduce itching. Applying topical estrogen cream may also help. Taking sitz bath once or twice daily effectively reduces discomfort. Refrain from scratching the itchy parts as the more you scratch, the itchier it becomes.
Vulvar itching may be caused by medical conditions like
bacterial vaginosis,
trichomoniasis, herpes, etc.
Swollen labia minora may be indicative of Bartholin's glands. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an
OBGYN. Get all tests and investigations done. You will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
