What Is Causing Strange Smell In Nose?
For the last 3-4days I ve had a strange smell in my nose. It s smells dusty, like someone has swept I dusty warehouse floor and the dust still lingers in the air. It s constant, when I m at home reading, when I m at work and when I go to bed. It s like I struggle for fresh air and it s really getting me down. I ve tried decongestants but it s still there. HELP!

As per your query you have strange smell in your nose . Well the strange smell in nose is also known as 'Phantosmia' . There can be many cause which can be responsible for strange smell like sinusitis , nasal polyp , dental infection , smoking and exposure to any chemical or radiation . Sometimes nerve dysfunction can also leads to strange smell in nose . I would suggest you to do warm saline rinses and gargles . Consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order nasal endoscopy MRI and CT scan . Doctor may prescribe nasal spray like oxymetazoline along with Sedatives, antidepressants or anti-epileptic medicine .
