What Is Causing Tightness In Chest, Anxiety Attack And Rapid Pulse Rate?

Hi Doc, I m 21 years old and for about a week I have been experiencing tightness in the chest, and other symptoms of anxiety and last week I had a huge anxiety attack where I thought I was having a heart attack. After that attack my symptoms stopped for about 3 days and gradually came back, today my pulse is so rapid and I feel like I have gas my pulse will not go down. Can you please give me some advice or insight. Thanks

You a young person seem to be suffering from stress. This might be due to exam or some other emotional stress causing anxiety and stress. However tio rule out any pathologial ailment i will suggest you to undertake an ECG and could be stared on betablocker like propranolol. However i would recommend you to get counseling from yuor family physician.
