What Is Diarrhoea With Black Chunks Indicative Of?

My sister has been I'll for a long time and they can't figure out what is wrong. She now has diarrhea and there are lumps in there that look like raisins that float. She collected one and broke it open and it is chalky and black inside. What could that be?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns about your Sister.
The chalky and black lumps in the stools are indicative of bleeding from the GI tract.
I would advise her the following:
Get the stool tested for three consecutive days.
Upper GI Endoscopy
Colonoscopy.
CT scan of the abdomen.
Tests of urine and blood.
This will get the proper diagnosis and a plan for proper management.
