yes what is difference between pravastain plain or sodium???? found I was out , tomorrow but CAN refill out a wk .....does it have to do with blood pressure or thinner?? I AN 78 AND DOES NOT MATTER ON THE THINNER AS MUCH AS BP MED...........SOMEHOW there was a mixup and discovered it tonite ......
There is no difference between pravastatin plain and pravastatin sodium. The latter is just the generic. Many medicines chemically are bound to sodium, hydrochloride, or other agents, so you will often see that additional agent listed after the name. Nothing to worry about. I'm not sure what you mean by blood pressure or thinner. Pravastatin is used to lower cholesterol. The sodium part of it should affect neither your blood pressure or any blood thinners you might be taking. Hope this helps.
