What Is Factor V Leiden And Anticardiolipin Antibodies?
I have been diagnosed with factor V Leiden and anticardiolipen antibodies. They only time this has been an issue has been with pregnancy or surgery. Within 24 hrs I had a very painful raised red and hot to touch area come up on my knee. I absolutely hate going to the Dr or hospital unless its a must. What to do?
hello, this is a condition called anti phospholipid syndrome. and you need to be taking medication for blood thinning. in case this is occuring on the knee it could be arthritis, or simply an infection. you need to see a doctor who can work it out.
It seems you are having Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, which causes recurrent pregnancy losses and blocks in arteries or veins. Probably u had a DVT in ur last pregnancy. You should rule out coexisting SLE or other autoimmune disorders. Now you require anticoagulation, probably life long. U should also be under regular care of Immunologist/Rheumatologist in your next pregnancy.
