What Is Ischamia And How Severe It Is For Heart Attack ?

HI, i am 34 years old with height 5ft 2 . My weight was 64 3 months back , now it is 58. I am having breathing trouble for last 3 months and the it was found that i have LVH heart disease caused due to high blood pressure . At that time it was 120/100. LDL Cholestrol was 123. My doctor advised me to take ENAM 2.5 daily to reduce the blood pressure .now the blood presure is normal but the breathing problem is continuing. I took the advice of another cardiologist who adviced to take AZTOR 75 daily after dinner and said that this is due to some disease called ischamia and asked me to visit after 6 weeks. If the problem remains after that also then they should go for angiography. I have done TMT test which came positive . My question is what is ischamia and how severe it is for heart attack

hi
welcome to health care magic.
ischemia means a portion of your heart muscle is not getting enough oxygen.
prolonged ischemia causes death of a portion of the heart muscle(called as infarction) and when this occurs,a heart attack is said to have occured.
it is better to get an angigraphy done if the problem persists.
i hope i have answered your question.
take care!
