here is a report i receive about a CXR- PA and LAT chest of my 94 yo Grandfather please help me understand!!! PA and Lateral views of the chest demonstrate mild cardiomegaly. There is dense consolidation throughout the right lower lobe. The aorta is diffusely tortuous. Diffuse chronic lunch changes. There is a small right-sided effusion. There is minimal blunting of the left costophernic angle and minimal left effusion and atelectasis. There may be another small nodule in periphery of right mid and lower lunch zones versus summation shadow with the rib. Prominen paratracheal soft tissue density. Degenerative changes of the thoracic spine. Please help me to understand out next appointment isnt for two weeks!!
