Hello Doctor... My friend is suffering from Fibromyalgia . What is the most effective and fast, sure method of treatment ? What is the duration of the treatment and until then how can the patient be relieved at least to some extent from the PAIN ? Please HELP !

Hello,

Fibromyalgia is treated with physical therapy and regular exercise. Pain killer medication with anti-depressents may useful. If pain is under control the dose is slowly reduce to minimal maintenance dose. Then this maintenance dose should be maintained. Please consult with your rheumatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
