What Is Spotting?

I had some spotting about 6 days before my period was due and it lasted till the day before it was supposed to come. My period is now 6 days late and I had a negative home pregnancy test, and now there is white skin like looking thing in my urine about the size of a mini lighter.

Hi,

Just by symptoms we cannot come to one conclusion regarding the pregnancy, as increased frequency of urination can also be seen due to increased water intake, weather changes, pelvic condition during ovulation or in premenstrual period, etc. To confirm the pregnancy, you can go for blood test for pregnancy just after the missed period.

If the serum beta HCG levels shows more than 5 mIU/mL, it indicates the possibility of pregnancy. Values more than 25 mIU/mL, confirm the possibility of pregnancy. If you want to go for a urine test for pregnancy better to wait for 4 to 5 days after your missed period and do the test to get accurate result.
