What Is Substitute Of Tetracycline For Pimples?

What can I substitute tetracycline with for my rosacia pimples. I was shocked to find out here that it is an antibiotic. I have seen TV shows about the problem with antibiotic resistance bugs. I only use Tetracycline which was prescribed by my dermatologist, when I have a breakout of rosacia pimples. But I don t want to put myself in danger of antibiotic resistance for other illnesses in the future. What else is effective for rosacia pimples?

thanks for asking via HCM,

Rosacea is a common, chronic, incurable, adult acne-like skin condition.
Topical antibiotic medication such as metronidazole (Flagyl) applied one to two times a day after cleansing may significantly improve rosacea. Azelaic acid (Finacea gel 15%) is another effective treatment for patients with rosacea.
Oral antibiotics are also commonly prescribed are Tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, and amoxicillin. A newer low-dose doxycycline preparation called Oracea (40 mg once a day) has been used in rosacea. The dose may be initially high and then be tapered to maintenance levels.
