I am a diabetic patient .I am using Gluconorm PG-2 Tabs twice a day & PPG-0.2 thrice a day Now Gluconorm tablet is not found in the market easily saying that it has been banned. Kindly suggest some alternate medicine for this. Which I can get easily from market & can be used one instead of two tabs.
Pioglitazone in Gluconorm PG 2 was banned by Government of India. But now the ban on Pioglitazone is lifted and is available in the market.
So you may not have problem with its availability now. But if you have problem finding then you may take combination of glimipride and metformin like Glimistar M 2.
If you prefer single dose than extended release formulations of the combination may be used.
