What Is The Best Medicine For Stroke?

My mom is 67 year old & had a mild stroke 5 month back and under Psychiatric medicine(qutiapine) since then. Also doctor prescribed her ecosprine av 75. on 2nd Jan & on 9th feb she become pulse less revived by blowing air & heart pump. Kindly suggest.

I read your question and I am sorry about your mother.

It is hard to know exactly why she had no pulse, you don't give any description on the circumstances and what other signs and preceding symptoms were noted. I believe an evaluation from a heart doctor with ECG and heart echo are necessary.

As for the treatment for the stroke, Ecosprine is necessary, it is beneficial even if heart arrhythmia is at the base of those 2 episodes.
Quetiapine on the other hand is not for stroke itself, it is given to control agitated patients who can't be controlled otherwise, so if she has no agitation episodes it is not advised as it has many side effects including cardiac ones.
