What Is The Best Time For Concor Intake?

Pls advice, What time is good for taking concor, morning or night ? Since 1 year, I have been taking concor 2.5mg at night, but nowadays some times i feels that my heartbeating is low and got wake up in the midnight due to lack of breathing/oxygen. Kindly advice. Ismail k.b Dubai.

Hi Welcome to HCM.

I understand your concern.Concor is usually taken at night just prior to going to bed.This will help to control the blood pressure variations pretty well without much swings.The chest discomfort in your case has to be further addressed based on the findings of baseline EKG and 2 dimensional screening echo.These tests can throw light on the cardiac functional reserve.Additionally you need to have coronary angiogram to evaluate any obstructive lesions in the circulation,and in any such case you should promptly undergo percutaneous metallic stenting to restore the blood flow and improve your symptoms.Discuss the above with your cardiologist.Post your further queries,if any.
