I am a non alcohalic person. diagnosed for Chrohn s disease. However my LFT shows ALP at 493, SGOT 63, SGPT 67 & gamma GT 305. I am taking Ursacol300& vegaz od tab( masacaline) since last 2 years. but the LFT levels are not coming normal . any suggetion for future course of action
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history related to your raised LFTs in spite of being non-alcoholic, diagnosed as Crohn's disease. Taking Ursocol 0 and Vegaz OD but the liver functions are raised as indicated. This indicates that you have an active infection or process of destruction going on in Liver and needs proper clinical evaluation and examination under the care of a Gastroenterologist or Hepatologist. In addition you have to undergo the following investigations: Tests of blood, urine, stool. MRCP mean MRI studies of the liver, pancreas and gall bladder, upper GI Endoscopy and supplemental VT scan if required. These detailed studies will reveal the cause so that further management can be done to have proper recovery.
