My 21 month old son finished his 10 day antibiotic (amox) yesterday for ear infections. A few days after on antibiotics he seemed back to normal. Yesterday I noticed he was very warm and I took his temp. It wsa 102.4 so I called the doctor and brought him in to be seen regarding his ears. The doctor looked him over and said his ears are clearing up well and that it seems to be another virus. My sons other symptoms curretently are a runny nose and very lethargic. He fell asleep around 6:30pm last night, woke up this morning around 8am and fell asleep shortly after. I remember a couple of days ago that he may have been stung by a bee. He has a spot on his neck he keeps trying to itch that is a red dot and a little bit red around it. He also has few red dots on the palm of his hand (which is where I thought he was originally stung) but they don t seem to be bothering him. Am I jumping to conclusions or should I just wait keep an eye on him as if he has a common cold. Thank you.
