What Is The Best Treatment To Get Pregnant?

I am 36 yrs old.im getting treatment to get pregnant. My Dr.suggested me for IUI.on 15th day one of my follicle is 2.cm.Dr injected me hcg and had a follicular study on 17th day.but my follicle size remain the same.so Dr. Suggests me to have a FS on 20th.based on that Dr.do IUI.my doubt is, if follicles ruptured before 20th day means is it possible to get pregnant?

I understand your concern..Usually follicles rupture within 36 hrs after giving hcg injection. But in your it didn't rupture by 17 th day and by 20th day it has ruptured. Ovum can survive in the female genital tract for only 24 hrs. Presence of sperms in the reproductive tract during this time helps to get pregnant. Sperms can survive in the genital tract for 72 hrs. If ovulation has occured on day 19/day20 then ovum will be available for fertilisation. If you had intercourse during day17/18, then also sperm will be available for fertilisation. IUI helps to increase the chance of pregnancy. Hope i have answered your queries. Good day.
