hi, i am 40. i have problem in conceiving. i have regular periods. we have been trying since last one year. i faced irregular periods only once. now i have consulted my GC and she has advised me aromek on the third day of my menstrual cycle and visit her on the 4th day plz. can u advise me some better solution.
Since you have regular periods and not diagnosed PCOS, Aromek (Letrozole) which is an ovulation inducing agent (helps in egg forming ) will not help. You need to be thoroughly evaluated as you have already been trying for a year and your age is 40. After 40, it could get more difficult so through evaluation. Sperm Analysis of partner, pelvic ultrasound, your hormone levels, Anti Mullerian Hormone level which will tell your ovarian reserve, also Hysterosalphingography to know the condition of the tubes.
If any concerns are identified please consult the infertility specialist and proceed.
Hope this helps. Regards.
